With reference to the subject cited above, I am to inform you that the Commission advertised for the aforesaid post under H&FW(B) Department on 03.07.2015 vide Advt. no.14/2015 and interviewed the candidates on 5th and 6th September, 2016.
However, consequent to the legal opinion of the learned Advocate General, Assam vide his letter no.AGL.46/2016/128 dated 6.3.2017 and the subsequent decision of the Commission in its meeting held on 07.03.2017, it was decided by the Commission to cancel the declaration of results of interviews for the said post which were earlier held as stated above.
To that effect, the Commission published a notification no.179PSC/DR-3/2/2012- 2013 dated 14th March, 2017. Accordingly, the Commission conducted fresh interviews for the aforesaid posts on 22nd, 23rd and 24th March, 2017 with the help of experts/advisers deputed by the Government of Assam and recommended the following candidates discipline-wise, in order of merit.
